U20 MEN DIVISION B
Day 3 of the games already pointed out the spearhead of Group A as Estonia and Georgia remained undefeated while F.Y.R. of Macedonia and Switzerland lost for the third time in a row and were knocked out of the race.
Georgia silenced Poland with a 76-69 triumph as Shengelia dominated again with 26 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks.
Estonia won big for the third time in a row, this time 95-76 over F.Y.R. of Macedonia and Romania stayed close behind in the race with a 53-47 win over Poland.
Group B action saw the Slovak Republic joining Denmark at the top with a clean 2-0 record while Hungary went out of the race losing for the third time in a row.
The Slovaks beat Hungary 81-63 while Bulgaria earned their debut victory over the Netherlands, 73-68.
Group C got another example of how strong the Czech team can be as they took a 3-0 record, yet still not enough to qualify as a total of five teams still eye the top two spots.
Luxembourg lost again, 56-85 to Great Britain and lost any chance to advance.
This was the first triumph for the Brits in the tournament, largely thanks to Ryan Richards finishing with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
The Czechs beat Norway 85-65 while Portugal held Finland at only two points in the second quarter on the way to their second win, this time 57-50.
In Group D,it was Belgium who marked their status as one of the top favorites to qualify to Division A after taking a 3-0 record, yet nothing is done yet and all five teams can still qualify.
Belgium did it in style by demolishing Israel 78-57 as Rademakers posted another double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Bosnia and Herzegovina recovered with a 79-67 win over Belarus and took a 2-1 record, enough for the second spot in the group so far.
In Day 4 of the competition Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Slovak Republic, Estonia and Georgia will try to lock the ticket to the Qualifying Round and assemble six of the eight teams in the next stage.
