U20 MEN DIVISION B
Day 4 of the U20 European Championship Division B saw the Qualifying Round picture molding, with half of the spots in it finding their owners.
Group A action witnessed Georgia grab the ticket to the Qualifying Round in a thriller, and Poland staying in the picture with another win.
The Georgians remain perfect after a big thriller and an 88-87 win over Estonia, who just like Georgia arrived to the game undefeated.
Tornike Shengelia was there once again with 33 points and 15 rebounds but the winning basket was scored by Merab Bokolishvili, with 6 seconds to play.
F.Y.R. of Macedonia earned their debut win with 64-49 over Switzerland who remain with no wins while Poland stayed in the race with an 86-75 victory over Romania.
On Monday Estonia and Poland will go head to head as the winner join Georgia from the 2nd spot.
Group B saw Denmark keep their record clean of losses with a 78-72 win over the Netherlands and make a huge step towards the Qualifying Round.
Bulgaria is still alive following a 65-58 win over the Slovak Republic who dropped a game for the first time.
The Slovaks and Bulgaria share a 2-1 record while the first go up against Denmark tomorrow in a game that can change the picture in the standings.
Hungary and Netherlands are out of the race.
The Czech Republic is in the Qualifying Round as well after a 76-62 victory over Finland, that dropped to 2-2.
Portugal didn't spend too much energy in the 76-56 win over Luxembourg and jumped to 3-1 that is actually enough to qualify as well, since Portugal have beaten both Great Britain and Finland, the only teams that can tie record with them.
Great Britain won again, this time 78-64 against Norway to take a 2-2 as well, yet will remain in Division B for one more year.
Group D saw Belgium lock the top spot in the group with an 80-69 victory over Iceland and a 4-0 record.
Israel became only the second team in the games to cross the 100 line with a 111-88 victory over Belarus.
Israel hold a 2-1 record, just as Bosnia and Herzegovina who rested on Day 4.
On Day 5, the deciding day of the group, both teams will go head-to-head for the second ticket.
Bosnia will try to use the support of the local fans to eliminate Israel, while Israel will try to use the momentum from today's win to stun the local team.
