Westermann Heads All Tournament Team

9. Léo Westermann (France)
For Léo Westermann the MVP award was a small consolation for the heartbreaking loss in the final

Leo Westermann will have to find consolation in his personal award as the Tournament MVP after his team lost the U20 European Championship title game to Lithuania.

The influential French point guard was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament in Slovenia, but he would likely exchange it for a gold medal.

Westermann led France to the final of the competition, averaging 12.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists, as the French side defeated Slovenia in the quarter-final and Spain in the semi-final.

The other All-Tournament team members include Leo Westermann's team-mate and blocks specialist Rudy Gobert, the Lithuanian leader Edgaras Ulanovas, Spanish forward Daniel Diez and also the host nation's Klemen Prepelic, who led Slovenia.
