Serbia will come out of their convincing, opening-day 91-73 win against Montenegro with mixed feelings, despite starting their U20 European Championship campaign on the right note.
During the first two quarters, the Serbians looked like world-beaters, demonstrating perhaps the best basketball of the day in Kranjska Gora, but struggled heavily throught the game whenever Montenegro switched to zone-press.
Serbia's giant Nemanja Besovic was unstoppable in the paint, leading the winners in scoring with 18 points, while Nenad Miljenovic missed only one shot on the way to 16 points.
Vukota Pavic was the top scorer for Montenegro with 15 points and five rebounds, but had to leave the court before the final buzzer after fouling out.
Serbia are now tied at the top of Group A with Germany and they face each other on Friday, while Montenegro and France will both seek to get their first win in the group.
