France's main weapon Evan Fournier had another great game for Les Bleus, leading all scorers with an outstanding shooting percentage

France took the top spot in Group E after winning their sixth game in a row in the championship this time a 70-57 victory over Russia.

This win gives France a 5-0 record in the group and also the top position.

Russia fell to 4-1 and will take the second place above Montenegro and Latvia.

Evan Fournier carried his team to the win with 24 points on 81.8% shooting from the floor and was followed by Leo Westermann with nine points.

Ruslan Tumanov was the top scorer of Russia with 14 points and was the only player in his team to reach double-digits.

The two sides arrived to the game knowing the winner will take the top spot in the group, but only one team showed a dominance worthy of the first place.

France attacked from tip off and four players scored by the time they held a 14-3 lead just a bit over three minutes into the game.

Rudy Gobert's dunk set the first quarter score on 21-12 and when Fournier scored eight in a row it was already 33-16 with the French prospect already at 15 points.

Westermann's three pointer marked the end of the first half with the gap now at 17, and Mael Lebrun's three pointer pushed the gap to 21 early in the second quarter.

Pavel Antipov ignited a Russian run and with only seven minutes to play it was just a 12 point game, 58-46 yet Fournier put an end to the tension and with a three pointer and later a lay-up sealed the win and the top spot in the group.

France will take on Turkey in the Quarter-Finals while Russia will face Germany after the rest day
